Hello, I’m Ammie — Your Waikato-Based Pixel Wizard
Welcome to my little creative haven in rural Waikato! I’m a graphic designer with over a decade of experience crafting brands, graphics, books, websites, and all the beautiful bits in between. From my peaceful corner of New Zealand, my work travels far and wide — reaching authors, entrepreneurs, and businesses across the globe.
Bringing Ideas to Life
My journey into design hasn’t been traditional, but it’s been rich, eclectic, and full of colour. I’ve developed a serious soft spot for print media, book design, and anything that ends up on a real, tangible page.
I’m proudly contracted to Indie Experts, where I design, format, typeset, and build websites for authors who are ready to launch their ideas into the world. I also work with a wide range of freelance clients — shaping new brand identities, crafting logos that actually feel like you, and refreshing existing brands that need a second wind. I really love bringing new brands and cool ideas to life, and every project gets the same care: intentional, thoughtful design you’ll be proud to show off.
Crafting for the Digital World
Print may have been my first love, but the digital world is now firmly in the mix too. I build clean, compelling, user-friendly websites on WordPress, blending creativity with purposeful function. Beautiful design is great — beautiful design that works is better.
Life Outside the Studio
When I’m not buried in pixels or perfecting book layouts, I’m usually navigating the joyful mayhem of life with my three kids, a revolving door of exchange students, and my loveable dopey-Doberman, Banner — who absolutely did not read the Doberman handbook.
I also pour a lot of my time into volunteer work with my local dog club and supporting the placement of international exchange students into Waikato families. While it’s not directly tied to my design desk, I certainly bring a very particular set of skills to these roles — and it speaks to who I am. I thrive in the full-on, show up for my community, and know how to connect with a wide range of people, cultures, teens, and parents alike.
It’s loud, lively, and a little bit wild… and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
